TNA discusses noconfidence motion with President Sirisena

The Tamil National Alliance (TNA) met President Maithripala Sirisena today and discussed the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.The TNA led by R. Sampanthan is to take a final decision on the no-confidence motion later tonight. Dinos Schooled on the Dangers of Distracted Driving

Carbon High School students braved the blustery weather and dropping temperatures on Wednesday for an educational purpose.Local law enforcement and members of the Southeast Utah Health Department, as well as the Highway Safety Coalition, banded together to school the Dinos on the importance of driving aware and all of the dangers that go along with distracted driving, such as texting while operating a vehicle.These students were welcome to try out a course while driving golf carts and being distracted by attempting to text while “driving”, often crashing into the orange cones that made up the course. A special vehicle was also brought to the event for a simulation of a direct crash experience.The students that participated were welcome to collect grab bags with pamphlets, flyers, flashlights, lanyards and more before returning to class. This event was also hosted at Lighthouse High.“Our hope was to bring some awareness to the students about the importance of not getting distracted while operating a motor vehicle,” Sergeant Kelly Maynes with the Price City Police Department stated. read more
