He said that the errors have already impacted his party’s run for office, as supporters are now uncertain of the political persuasion of BNCP candidates.Mr Campbell said officials at the department assured him that the errors will be corrected, but Parliamentary Commissioner Sherlyn Hall explained that the candidates were listed as Independent because the BNCP had failed to submit the needed documents for its members. Mr Campbell denied this. BNCP National Chairman Andrew Stewart added that the issues were unacceptable.“I never received their letters before today,” Mr Hall said, “and that’s the bottom line and some of their candidates were listed as Independent because we never received the letters that they purported to deliver to my office. We have no record of the letter. That’s all I can say.”#magneticMediaNews#BNCPAngryOverSabotage
Dear Editor,I write to support the re-election of Kevin Caira and Greg Bendel. Both have maintained the values of the Wilmington voter: integrity, professionalism, and accountability. I have lived in Wilmington since 1969 and have always been proud of its leadership. And I remember living on an unaccepted street and the difficulties that come with that. If there is a fix for that, I would like to hear what the fix is and what is the cost and who is responsible for that cost. There was a difficult time 15 or 20 years or so. It seemed at the time that being “pugnatious” and cute about a serious issue was a winner. The best insult you can fly publicly, name calling, was thought to be a winning strategy. I am grateful for the peace that has come to Wilmington after that time.Best wishes to Mr. Caira and Mr. Bendel.Sincerely,Ann L. YurekLike Wilmington Apple on Facebook. Insta360 announced it Monday at CES 2019 in Las Vegas. Besides shooting video at 11K, the Titan can handle 10K resolution in 3D, or 11K 360-degree photos in both normal and 3D types. You can record 8K resolution in 60 fps and 5.3K at 120 fps. The Titan can also shoot 10-bit HDR video. Other features include Insta360’s software features, such as FlowState Stabilization, which lets you create stabilized videos without the need for gimbals. It will also have Farsight, a live monitoring system that lets you use a tablet or phone to preview the shoot. The Titan will likely ship in April, with Insta360 planning to do a pilot program with select filmmakers before that happens. Sonia Gandhi addressing 52 lawmakers of the Congress party.TwitterCongress leader Sonia Gandhi was elected as the chairperson of the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) on Saturday, June 1. Former prime minister Manmohan Singh had proposed Sonia Gandhi’s name.Amid the uncertainty over Rahul Gandhi’s resignation as the party president, Congress had reportedly debated the possibility of him being the parliamentary chairperson at least. The suspense over the Congress party’s leader in the 17th Lok Sabha, however, continues. In the 16th Lok Sabha, the post was held by senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge who failed to win the national election this time. Sonia Gandhi will now elect the leaders in the parliament.Taking to Twitter, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said, “Smt Sonia Gandhi elected as the leader of Congress Parliamentary Party!” The recently concluded Lok Sabha elections have left the Congress with 52 newly elected Lok Sabha MPs – marginally higher than the figure of 44 in 2014 general elections. The party is three members short of the figure that would qualify it for the post of the Leader of the Opposition.Today’s meeting was attended by all 52 lawmakers of the Congress along with the party’s Rajya Sabha MPs.While speaking at the CPP meeting, Rahul Gandhi too thanked the voters and Congress workers. “Every Congress member must remember that each one of you is fighting for the Constitution, for every person in India irrespective of the colour of his skin or belief,” Rahul Gandhi was quoted as saying in a tweet by Surjewala. This was the first official meeting attended by Rahul Gandhi, after the party’s working committee held on May 25, where he offered to quit as the Congress chief. Although the working committee rejected his offer, he has remained firm on his decision to resign. The grand old Congress party faced a humiliating defeat on May 23 in the Lok Sabha elections, when it slumped to its worst performance ever – winning just 52 of the 542 seats in the lower house of Parliament, the Lok Sabha – the Indian National Congress is in a state of drift.

Photo: APThe Trump administration said Thursday that it has reunified 364 children ages 5 and older with their families after they were separated at the border, still leaving hundreds to go before a court-imposed deadline a week away. The justice department reaffirmed in a court filing that it has identified 2,551 children who may be covered by US district judge Dana Sabraw’s order. More than 900 are either “not eligible or not yet known to the eligible,” the vast majority of them undergoing evaluation to verify parentage and ensure the children are safe.ACLU attorney Lee Gelernt said he was concerned about the high number of children who have not been cleared for reunification. The administration and the American Civil Liberties Union are due back in court Friday for the fifth time in two weeks as the judge holds tightly to a 26 July deadline for all children to be reunified. He set an earlier deadline of 10 July for dozens of children under 5.The government has identified eight US Immigration and Customs Enforcement locations to reunify children 5 and older, and people have been getting released throughout the Southwest this week. The US Conference of Catholic Bishops and Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service are taking the lead on helping families that have been released into the US The faith-based groups provide food, clothing, legal aid and often money for a bus or a plane ticket, usually for them to join relatives across the country.Annunciation House in El Paso, Texas, has served dozens of families. The shelter’s director, Ruben Garcia, said “the actual reunification process is a logistical nightmare.”On Monday, the judge put a temporary hold on deporting parents while the government prepares a response to the ACLU’s request for parents to have at least one week to decide whether to pursue asylum in the US after they are reunited with their children.
